barrientos RYAN was hired to develop a feasibility analysis for the development of a new performing arts center in downtown Bellevue to serve the Eastside community. barrientos RYAN served as the Project Manager for this development project and coordinated the design, renovation and construction of this stunning new performing arts space.

The design for PACE boldly announces the building’s artistic nature and spirit. The exterior reflects the cultural purpose PACE brings to the community, featuring alternating curtains of stone and glass to create a dramatic, distinctive effect in the urban setting. Although unique in style, the design beautifully complements Bellevue’s varied architecture and modern sensibility. The interior includes a spacious lobby for gathering and greeting, with colored walls and lighting elements that create visual drama for patrons and passersby alike. Within the auditorium, sight lines are unobstructed from all 2,000 seats and patron comfort is paramount. The design emphasizes exceptional sound quality, warm and inviting lobbies, efficient and functional backstage spaces, a spacious stage able to accommodate virtually any production, and top-quality technical control areas. Every detail is designed to the exacting standards required of a great performing arts center.
