barrientos RYAN is working with the property owners of three currently commercially-zoned lots to develop a mixed-use, multifamily apartment building with commercial tenants on Union Bay Place NE. At present, the site is a largely commercial zone with various warehouses and parking lots, giving it an industrial feel. The street, which is commonly used as neighborhood access between Laurelhurst/Sand Point and Ravenna, sits between Seattle’s largest shopping center, the University Village, and the Burke Gilman Trail.
Union Bay Place NE is underdeveloped and poses a great opportunity to add housing, retail and pedestrian activity to a street that currently isn’t inviting to pedestrians. The vision for the project is to bring activity and life to the street, which despite being located adjacent to the University Village, has been sorely lacking in amenities.
This project is currently in the conceptual stages of design.
